During the preparation of the change on June 8th, 2019, our network providers discovered complications. Due to this, a stable network environment cannot be guaranteed after the maintenance. We decided to postpone this change and we will keep you updated on the new planning. The delay of this change will NOT cause the migration of the external firewall to shift to a later timeframe.

We will perform maintenance on central network components to improve the redundancy of the distribution switches. This is also a prerequisite for the following steps in our datacentre migration. If all goes according plan, we expect an impact of 1 hour. In case of rollback, the downtime can lead up to 4 hours.
TECHNICAL We will perform an VSS implementation of the distribution switches. The distribution switches take care of the communication between the different datacentres. By implementing this change, we will improve the redundancy of inter datacentre communication.
IMPACT There will be an impact on incoming and outgoing connections of the datacentre. Incoming connections: connections from internet will not be able to reach their application because of in interruption between the DMZ and the internal network Outgoing connections: applications connecting to the internet will be impacted. Applications making connection on the internal network, even connections to another network segment will not be impacted
