As communicated earlier, vulnerabilities have been discovered in the Citrix NetScaler (Citrix gateways) we are using. We have already implemented mitigation measures as recommended by Citrix. But we were still waiting for a final fix. The final fixes have been released today.
Today, we start implementing and validating the fix in our acceptance environment. If our tests are successful, we will start Monday applying the fixes in production. We expect to finish on Wednesday.
Impact: using our load balancing capabilities, we expect to do this without impacting customers.
In technical terms, on our load balancer, we will stop a subset of NetScalers to accept new connections, but all the active connections remain. Once all the active connections have been released by the users, we install the fix and put them back online to receive new connections.
